4 Ingredient Chia Pudding Recipe

Since starting a plant based diet via Brohanna's Vegan Challenge I've found breakfast to be more daunting than ever. What is breakfast without eggs? Endless days of oats? Maybe a banana? After a week or so I needed something new in the morning, and I was completely stumped! So I opened Instagram for some inspiration and found a true savior; chia seeds!

After a bit more research I found chia seeds were actually SO good for your system. These little babies pack a punch in the nutritional category. It's turns out that 1/4 a cup of chia seeds contains 8 grams of protein, 18 grams of fats (10 of which are omega 3's), not to mention fiber, calcium, manganese, magnesium, phosphorus, zinc, vitamin b1,2,3, and all in 280 calories! Amazing!



This super simple 4 ingredient chia pudding is great for breakfast, and is definitely a new staple in my fridge. 



  • 4 Tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 cup non-dairy milk
  • 1 Tbsp agave nectar
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract  

Mix all ingredients in a bowl and set in the fridge for 5+ hours. The chia seeds absorb the liquid and create a wonderful texture that tastes like pudding in the morning. Top with some fresh fruit if your heart so desires. And enjoy!
